Prakalp, in Hindi, has two meanings. It means an undertaken project, as well as the rising. Band was formerly known as Apocalypse, but the band line up was different then. And it kept on changing. Once things settled down, Band thought Apocalypse didn’t suit our genre, so band wanted a name which was Indian and would perfectly suit our music. Some [other] names band thought of were ‘Astitva’ and ‘Abhaas’. Then band got Ashwin Chinchkhede to manage the band, who thought of this wonderful name. All of them loved it.This name? Because, bad have undertaken project Hindi Metal!

GENRE :: Soft Rock
MEANING ::
ZIAD an Arabic word simply means “GROWTH”.
The soul motive of the band ZIAD is to express its point of view about various issues & different spheres of life through music. The biggest USP of the band is how they get different themes and situations into account, things which are observed and felt…
Unconventional tunes, meaningful lyrics and a heart expecting a change is what ZIAD is about.
ZIAD is not here to distinguish what is right or wrong…but to express what EXISTS!!
BAND MEMBERS ::
Huzaifa – Compositions, Lyrics & Vocals.
Salman – Bass.
Fahad – Guitars.
Faizan – Drums.
BIOGRAPHY ::
Having an Overactive, restless mind developed a writing skill in HUZAIFA, which was also inspired by his younger sister who herself is a closet poet.
Writing came very naturally to him, it was his sister again who encouraged him to compose his written works into songs, thus came CHALA JAA RAHA HOON…
Singing was something he never learnt either but had some sense about it and was a descent singer.
It was from a well acclaimed performance of the same song in his college function, Huzaifa realized that he can actually communicate with the world outside and share his view through his songs…
Huzaifa recorded his unplugged single of CHALA JAA RAHA HOON and released it over the net, to his surprise the song got an amazing review…not just for his composition and lyrics but also his singing, the idea went big, when the idea of a band made rounds in his mind.
He started looking for people for his band, which got him to Salman through a social site. Salman who was a beginner himself had descent knowledge of guitaring. He never knew that he could ever take up music so seriously, it was from a college festival that he made up his mind to play the guitar where he saw a senior (Fahad) of his strumming one of his favorite track. He bought a guitar and started learning from Fahad himself, the more he learned the more he explored his musical side. Initially he started off with rhythm guitaring. Having a very similar mindset helped Huzaifa and Salman to take a plunge into a band, Salman as the rhythm guitarist.
Faizan was introduced by Salman to Huzaifa. Faizan being a very social and friendly person made his way very quickly in the band, although when he started off he never knew much about drumming but having some knowledge and a deep passion for drums, made his place permanent in Ziad. He started taking lessons in drumming and very quickly found himself at a much better level.
It was after some jamming sessions they realized that they need someone more experienced to back their raw talent.
Huzaifa then contacted Gelie, a highly experienced and amazing guitarist who was on the guitars when he performed his single in his college function. With Gelie being in the band, it was no looking back, the band launched its first single IK NAYI ZIAD with some shades of rock and pop combined,
the song very quickly got popular in the masses for its different composition, lyrics, and its arrangement.
The band always needed a full time bassist but it was rather difficult to get one. Its then when Salman decided to give up Rhythms and took up Bass for the band.
After Ik Nayi Ziad, the band took a break to come up with something really different from what they had done before.
After almost a month, Ziad came out with another single NISHAAN, which has a raw arrangement and an RnB feel to it. This one getting much bigger and popular in the crowds.
Nishaan has been downloaded more than 5000 times in a month from various sites. Being an underground and a fresh band it was highly encouraging for Ziad…
During this time Gelie had backed out due to his personal problems and the band needed another guitarist.
It’s when they met Fahad; he was Salman’s senior and actually the reason why Salman took up guitaring. He is playing the instrument for more then 8 years, always into Rock music and fascinated by guitars. Fahad being in a band before had some experience, apart from that he is an exceptionally talented guitarist, after Gelie, Fahad is being taking up guitars in Ziad.

n a search for what black metal would become it became necessary to find out what it meant, and that leads us to a category of black metal bands who are “the conceptualizers,” most notably, Burzum,dimmu,sterbend,urfaust,wingrid, Darkthrone and Immortal. However, it is only Burzum who exceeded the epic with the majestic in terrifyingly abstract and emotional music…………………… and that inspired me ashish rawat a.k.a lord maut This work is simply enduring as both music and ideological impact of emotion and action. can’t answer of other people answers why is this ?…….why that? well paganic soul”s started on 2007 to create this world into darknes s to build the dark atmosphere this is the best genere … or wish is to spread this genere to all living being first it started with pagan(band) at that time drummer was ill so,one man band worked doan the 1st demo called pagan it was one mans band by lord maut using guitars,bass,voix,and effects all the demos r live no other studio or mixing stuff another demo was dead well as aa my friend jonson turkey a.k.a haiwan took the position for drumming and with a new member band name was changed and it’s -paganic soul”s now…….its a 2 members band whole idea was into to create depressive,clean sucidial,darkatmospheric blackmetal If you like forests and Wilderness you would love this music. We have a lot of wild animals, grim mountains and wilderness. Some places the forest is so dense you have to crawl to get anywhere. Some places the best -if not only – way to move around is to find a brook, and move along its course, jumping from rock to rock hmm want to learn u can also feel this genere “take a walk in the middle of a winter night in a forest all alone, and you will understand what I mean: it actually speaks.”

Reptilian Death(Mumbai)
November 15, 2007

GENRE :: Death Metal
BAND MEMBERS ::
Sugath – Vocals,
Arjun – Guitars,
Husain – Bass,
The Demonstealer – Drums.
BIOGRAPHY ::
Bombay Death Metal outfit Reptilian Death have recorded their long awaited debut album called Total Annihilation. It is basically divided into the 3 stages of Reptilian Death starting as a solo project of The Demonstealer where 5 Easy Ways To Murder Someone was created and recorded. In the second stage, the solo project changed from a spoofy death metal solo project to a proper death metal act. All the songs the band performed live are also on the recording. This part of the album also sees the vocal talents of Aditya of Exhumation featuring on the track Bathed In Blood. Interestingly, The Demonstealer has done all the guitar/bass playing on the album apart from the vocals and drums even for the band songs. The third part of the album is the latest offering from Reptilian Death, not as a band anymore, but as a solo spoofy death metal project. Nursery Rhymes For Satan’s Children is a crazy, funny but yet brutal concept. It has 5 Rhymes in total including Baa Baa Bloody Sheep and Jack and Jenna Jameson. In all the album has a total of sixteen tracks.
Reptilian Death came into existence in May 2001 as a solo project of the Demonstealer (Of Demonic Resurrection fame.) The project was meant to be a grindcore/death metal project. At the end of May 2001 Reptilian Death released its 1st recording which was a collection of 5 songs called 5 Easy Ways To Murder Someone with each song representing a different method of murder. The songs were mainly death metal-ish musically but contained the unusual element of humor which gave the whole concept a sort of spoof feel. After this release the project took a back seat until November 2001 which was when Reptilian Death turned from a solo project into a full fledged band after Husain joined as the bassist and Jaivir joined as guitarist and The Demonstealer took over drums and vocal duties. The band prepared itself with 2 new songs No Way To Die and The Second Coming Of Evil and travelled to Bangalore City to play its 1st live show at The National Law Schools event “Strawberry Fields”. Sadly the show never happened and Reptilian Death ended up doing an acoustic death metal set at Planet M due to distortion not being allowed. The band returned to Bombay and did their 1st proper gig at Razzberry Rhino. The bands high energy act and intensity got them a good response from people. The next stop was IIT-Bombay where the band put up another good performance. From there the band recruited Girish to add a 2nd guitarist to the band after which they played serveral shows including RAIT-Horizons, Razz Rhino and Raag Divine where they bagged the best drummer and bassist prizes. After RAIT 2003 the band more or less stopped playing live as the band members were busy with other commitments.In July 2003 The Demonstealer decided to continue the project solo once again and followed up the earlier 5 Easy Ways To Murder Someone with another concept song called Nursery Rhymes For Satan’s Children as well as recorded the bands 5 originally composed songs and releasing it as an album in August. Things of course didnt go as planned and the album got postponed and is all set to be released in November 2003. The album also features guest vocals by Aditya (Exhumation) on the track Bathed In Blood. The album was recorded at Demonic Studios and the artwork has been done by Mephisto (Demonic Resurrection). The Demonstealer then bought the band back together for IIT’s Livewire show with Sunny (Epitaph) replacing Jaivir on guitars and Nitin (Morticide) to handle the main vocal duties.

BIOGRAPHY ::
SLEDGE is a 5-piece metal outfit that has emerged from the ever so rapidly growing Indian rock scene. It must be said that the band has had a major role in putting Hyderabad on the national rock scene, and this, as the story usually goes, has been done against the odds though the initial stages were plagued with lineup changes and Non acceptance of heavy metal in the city. The band has been around since 1998, but things started getting serious only in the year 2000. They latched onto the first major opportunity which came in the form of an opening slot for veteran rockers SHIVA. This was performance was appreciated by the hungry rockers and SLEDGE had added a few hundred metal heads to their fan base. SLEDGE is also the first band from AP to be featured on gigpad.com. They are also the only band from Hyderabad to play at the annual Domination – The DEATHFEST held in Mumbai, and win the runners-up title at both IIT Delhi and NSIT Delhi The first two Competitions on National Circuit. After gaining national recognition SLEDGE was offered invitations to headline most of the rock fests Like NSIT.
On its way to winning the National Title for Best Band at the final leg of Castrol Garage Rock in Mumbai, the band also won Best Vocalist, Best Guitarist, Best Drummer and Best Bassist. The regional final of this competition was held in Bangalore and was swept away by SLEDGE too. After this victory the band was offered a Record Deal with TIMES MUSIC. Though many people were skeptical about a commercial label releasing a Heavy Metal album, things did go on smoothly and a full length album by the name of “Desert Of Souls” has been released and is now available at all the leading music stores in India.
The album is an all-out precision assault, done so with all of the flair and expertise one would expect from such an impressive assembly. Absolutely no compromise has been made, and the album is a true reflection of what the band believes is their unique style of music. SLEDGE was supported by TDK Media Active (Germany) to make an animation video, as they were impressed with the music and the efforts made by the band to reach international circuit, The video is on air across India.
SLEDGE’s live show pushes the envelope even further. Never missing a beat amidst the fray, constantly trashing and pounding, their presence breeds insanity. Their stage act with uncontrollable aggression and adrenaline infects the crowd like a plague.
A SLEDGE show will leave you impressed with a taste for more. No matter where the gig is, or under what circumstances, people stand up and take notice such is the intensity with which the music is presented. On the basis of its live shows the band is considered by many as one of the tightest Metal acts in the country, and what sets it apart is its versatility and experience. The fact that it has taken the band a while to get to where it is now is a distinct advantage, and they have never let themselves down whenever given the opportunity, whether it is a national competition or a major headlining gig.
SLEDGE is now heading towards the International Metal Circuit and is determined to release the next album across the Globe and also perform at various places and cater to wider audience.

Fate(Mumbai)
November 15, 2007

GENRE :: Black Metal
BAND MEMBERS ::
Roshan – Vocals and Bass,
Nitin – Guitars,
Hitesh – Drums .
BIOGRAPHY ::
Fate, formed in November 1999, is an underground black metal band from Mumbai. Fate consists of Roshan on vocals and bass, Nitin on Guitars & Hitesh on drums. Fate was formed after Roshan and Hitesh left Morticide in ‘99. The name FATE is derived from the “best of” album by DEATH. Fate is a tribute to all the musicians who have been a part of this amazing band. (Gene Hoglan, Steve digiorgio, James Murphy and Chuck Schuldiner and the rest…) Replete with twin guitar attack, the original line up of Fate saw Amar and Edwin sharing the guitar-works. Things didn’t work out the way it was wished. Edwin quit during the early stages and from there on Fate decided to stick together as a trio. Nothing concrete ever came out of this trio either. In the end it was decided rope-in Nitin from Morticide. It was back to square one, from where they had once started as Morticide.
Fate is a group of individuals with similar mind-set and attitude. Our idea of self-expression is a bit different from the rest of the lot. We play only originals and write about different issues, more so, our songs are our perception of the world. We have always believed in Fate and the music we make, that helps us keep our heads straight and pay more attention to the content rather than small talk.
Fate recorded an E.P titled “Lead us to Darkness” in February 2001. This album was released 27th September 2001 at the “RUDRA LIVE” concert held in Mumbai. This album sees the efforts of Nitin Rajan (Morticide) in the area of growls along with the rest of the band, which also makes it the original line-up of the band – Morticide. This self-funded effort is an epitome of the bands’ attitude and will to go against the tide. The band is an expression of many people through the three musicians that make this band. This album contains five tracks named Deathless, Golden leaf (Hauptmann’s sorrow); Lead us to darkness, Nittilai and Whispering death. The genre of their music is black metal. So far their blend of music is quite appreciated in the underground circuit.

Demonic Resurrection (Mumbai)
November 15, 2007

GENRE :: Melodic/Symphonic Death/Black Metal.
BAND MEMBERS ::
The Demonstealer – Guitars/Vocals,
Husain – Bass/Backing Vocals,
Mephisto – Keyboards/Backing Vocals,
JP – Drums.
BIOGRAPHY ::
Mumbai based DEMONIC RESURRECTION was forged as a solo venture of Sahil ‘The Demonstealer’, initially this musician handlin not only vocals but guitar, bass and keyboards. Building up a band unit proved a struggle as the formative band went through so many line up changes they once went seven shows without maintaining the same line up for any successive gig. An early guitarist Ashish would depart to join ABHOR. Another casualty would be bassist Aditya whilst bass would also be accredited to Count Varathora.
One of the most controversial, exciting and talented bands of the Indian metal scene, the history of Demonic Resurrection or DR as it is popularly known is, if nothing, a story of perseverance. From often being dismissed as a joke upon inception, only to be recognized as a revolution couple of years down the line, DR has earned the respect of fans and critics alike. From being the targets of jealous bands to having demeaning videos being made about them, DR has weathered every storm only to emerge as a stronger force than before.
